"Biking found me about 15 years ago. I never could have known how it would change my life. After not touching a bike since early childhood, biking was the hardest thing to learn but it taught me that anything is possible and everyone can learn to ride a bike. I think this is the attitude that has led me into the world of coaching. I have been coaching in various forms off and on for the last 5 years.I love sharing my knowledge and excitement for all areas of biking with others. There is magic in the moment when your brain shifts from "I can't" or "I will never", from impossible to possible. I experience this almost every time I go out on my bike, always learning, always growing. For me, it's the mix of everything - the uphill, the downhill, the jumping - connecting myself to the bike to the trail, it feels like finding Neverland.
While studying for my BS in Applied Math at the U of U I would spend weekends and summers riding and tried some DH racing early on but didn't get into racing until 2011 when I took a year off to travel and race. I moved up to pro in DH within my first year of racing and competed mostly in western US races, earning podium spots for most races I entered, including some international races in Peru and Mexico. Bike racing led to a thirst for traveling and riding in new places so racing faded and personal adventures took over. "
