2015 Masters World Champioships in Denmark

Being the 2014 National Champion for the Masters Road Race and Time Trial gave me an invitation to race at the Masters World Championships in Denmark. The invitation came 5 weeks prior to the race. The moment I got the invite I knew I had to go. Without any real training this summer I knew it would take a miracle to pull it off. I started a "three weeks to peak" training plan and it all came together for me in Hobro, Denmark on September 3rd. In the required and honorable USA kit, I raced the Time Trial and placed 4th, just 11 seconds off the podium! What this told me is that I still have it! My body responded really well to training  (I've been taking extra care of my immune system and it paid off). This has launched me into serious motivation for a stellar 2016 season!

My Jamis Xenith TT bike was a rocket ship, delivering me quickly to the finish line! Thanks to POC for hand delivering the lightest and best looking aero helmet on the market just a few days before I left the country! Thanks to Vittoria for sending the world's fastest tire, the Open Corsa SC, I was rolling smooth and fast the whole time!

Enduro National Chamionships

For my first ever Enduro, I finished top 10 at National Championships!  Made plenty of errors, crashed a LOT (and based on the photo, I ran a lot too:) Lucky there was neutral support, I rode into the pit for service after each of the first 3 stages to fix one thing or another that I managed to turn or bend or twist during above mentioned crashes. I have a few good scrapes and bruises but my body and bike are in in good shape. The best part were the people I met. Every single person on the course was SO positive and friendly. There seemed to be camaraderie, friendship and support out there from every angle. Just to hang out with such great people and ride bikes was enough to call this a top 10 day on the bike. Massive thanks to Jamis Bikes for helping me get the AMT so I could race on a proper bike! So happy to finally race in my Borah Teamwear jersey and use my First Endurance EFS! Thanks for the support from Stans NoTubes, Gaerne Shoes and Vittoria (those Gomas have GRIP!). Next time I will ride the "elevator shaft" (this photo), just don't touch the front brake, float down it!

Finish line! I made it through all 4 stages!

Private Clinics

I've been busy with private clinics this summer. My latest clinic was with 3 women from Washington DC. They had all dialed in the coaster wheelie up a curb by time we were finished! Another couple from Tuscon, AZ utilized my clinics a few times while they were in town. Other locals are finding me and we are making great progress in just a couple of hours. Dark Clouds

When home is covered in black clouds full of rain, do you: A) pedal faster to avoid the rain or B) stop and take a picture? Yep, I chose B last night. #worthit
