Tonight coaches Shelly and @coachklane added to the challenge for our Beginner 2.0 students. They introduced front, rear, and simultaneous wheel lifts as well as slow speed ratcheting. All of these maneuvers actually can provide a great way to advance your riding. Skills were followed by a ride down the brand new flow trail in Round Valley - Pulp Friction. Everyone is taking more aggressive lines and realizing they are now better riders!

Adobe session 2
Adobe clinic number 2 and we had some excellent cornering going on! These women worked on bike/body separation through the berms and rollers in the pumptrack. Every lap they got faster and every lap their smiles got bigger! No better way to spend a summer night!
Intermediate to Advanced Cornering
Intermediate to Advanced flying
We have (serious) lift off! To say this group was flying is an understatement! Everyone was over the age of 35 and somewhat new to wheels off the ground. They took it to the next level with skill and style. It’s incredible what can happen when students show up ready to learn and have the fitness to support it. There are no limits!
One of the highlights of the weekend was when @vsolomon36 decided it was time to ride this feature! Virginia had been looking at this drop for a while, wondering what it would take. After a full day of developing manuals and dropping technique, it was time. We were all stoked to watch a student push their limits with success!
Intermediate to Advanced Day 1
Beginner 2.0
New Program: Wednesday night we began our new program - Beginner 2.0 designed to take the fundamentals of riding and expand roses comfort zones with more challenging riding environments. By the end of class everyone was moving more dynamically on their bike and we are ready to push these skills in our second session next week. Coaches are @coachklane and Shelly Wedge.
Private session with Linda
Linda took our cornering clinic a few weeks ago and was ready to take it to the big berms! She wanted some specific feedback so she could start riding them with more speed and confidence. We accomplished that today, especially with the video feedback. She is dedicated to improving her skills even after riding for so many years, what an inspiration!
Women of Adobe
We had a private clinic with the women of @adobe tonight. Such a fun group with lots of enthusiasm to improve their skills! Excited to work with them a few more times to really step up their game. #morewomenonbikes

Beginner Clinic July 13-14
All smiles at today’s clinic! We had a really fun group that learned quickly. We love working with beginners and watching their progress throughout the day.
Rock gardens, berms, switchbacks. Give these women any challenge and they will take it on! Their positive attitude made anything possible!
The night before our clinics, we host a meet and greet where we look over everyone’s bike fit and then have a great mobility session thanks to coach Kristen Lane.
Backcountry Interns!
Private session with the Backcountry interns, with our matching “Full suspension” jerseys and shorts! David and Derek are new to mountain biking and after 3 hours of skills and riding, they are hooked! They took on each new skill with enthusiasm and had great questions about bikes and local trails. Welcome these to brilliant minds to the mountain biking world!

We have another woman with her wheels off the ground! Cody came to a beginner clinic last summer and has been practicing her skills ever since. She was ready to take it to the next level, wanting to learn the manual, the wheelie and get some air! We did that all today in a 4 hour private session!

Repeat Client taking it to the next level!
Gretchen came to a clinic earlier this year and was ready to take her skills to a trail near her home that sometimes challenges her.
She wanted to carry her speed throughout the trail from top to bottom.
We worked on most of the corners and different rock sections one by one then we rode the whole trail at once so she could feel how this trail can flow. The last time down she said it was her fastest yet!
Friend’s clinic
Friend’s clinic! This group of women was ready for more skills after their desert clinic! We worked on corners on their home trails.
