Who is a great candidate for coaching?

Who is a great candidate for mountain bike coaching? Most of my clients fit into one of these four categories; new to mountain biking, road cyclist or triathlete, established rider but have never been coached, experienced rider that has been coached. My answer is everyone! Watch the video and read below to find out more.

Who is a great candidate for mountain bike coaching? My short answer is everyone! For more details check out my post here: http://www.womeninthemountains.com/journal

New to mountain biking
Get coaching immediately!  I want you to create excellent habits from the beginning, that is way easier than breaking bad ones! With some coaching, you can reduce your exposure to risk on your mountain bike. There are a handful of skills we teach that are not necessarily intuitive, so when someone asks me if they should go practice on their own or get better before they come to my clinic, the answer is always, get coaching first!

Road cyclist or Triathlete
There are some really big differences between road bikes and mountain bikes and how you ride them. How to properly use your brakes, your body positioning and cornering are all very different on mountain bikes than on road bikes. Your big power and fitness can be put to good use, let us help you harness that!

Established rider but have never been coached
You've been riding mountain bikes for a few years and haven't taken the time to have a session with a certified coach. There is a chance you are not getting the most out of your riding. You don't know what you don't know! You may think you're doing great, enjoying your mountain biking, yet, there could be an entire world of enjoyment on your bike waiting for you that you don't even know exists! Getting a coaching session or two could open up skills you didn't even realize you don't have. I frequently have clients who have been riding for years and they have dozens of light bulb moments throughout a session, this is super rewarding for me, knowing they are going to 10x their fun from now on!

Rider that has been coached or is a coach
Let's say you've attended a clinic or two, you've been coached and you are able to ride fast and efficiently. Yet, there are a few skills or obstacles that continually leave you hung up. Sometimes a different coach can help you through that by explaining it in a different way. Every coach has something different to say, a slightly different way of describing how to execute a skill.

We have a clinic for every level of rider on our schedule for 2020, take a look at http://www.womeninthemountains.com/parkcity or email erica@womeninthemountains to decide which one is best for you!
