Day 2
we rode the entire "
True Grit" course. It start's on the race course at Green Valley, connects to Barrel Ride, then over to Zen. I say all of that in one sentence, but in reality it's some of the burliest, chunky, rocky miles you will ever do!
We refueled at the cars, climbed up the road to then descend the three fingers of death and the coolest descent ever, especially in a big group, Bear Claw/Poppy (video of this on facebook by
Jeff Kerkove-check his blog in a few days, it'll pop up over there). It feels like you're in a movie when you ride with a group down that trail, people flying every direction, getting air every few feet, just a full on party! We then climbed Snake Pit and went over to Barrel Roll. The loop is completed with a little bit of single track (that I skipped) then back through the wash to Green Valley. It was a stellar day with tons of great friends and single track!
