My host family is the best! For the second year now, they let me stay in the waterfront guest house right next door to their home. Plus, they were my best cheering section! Cindi yelled my split from her aid station (1:40) and they were so excited about my finish! They are such a solid family, they're both MDs & it looks like their girls will be too, (no pressure for the 16 yr old boy!). Since the house is on the beach there is an outdoor shower which means warm water! It was 36 degrees this morning, I thought washing my bike in the warm water was brilliant. Cindi and her daughter came out while I was washing it and they started laughing so hard at the sight they said we had to get a picture! That's how a photo of me in my PJ's ended up in public. Ends up that a hose is still the easier way to wash a bike. I cleaned and sprayed my bike for half an hour and there is still sand everywhere!
