Back in the Desert

We made it back from Utah in one piece. I was mulling over my race for the whole drive. I felt so frustrated by the mechanical I had during the race. We watched the temperatures climb from 74 in SLC to 100 in Las Vegas.
It's great be racing so often though, it gives me more chances to learn. At least I wasn't putting my whole season on one race like I've done in the past.

Early morning ride at the Cottonwood Trails. It is so beautiful in person, the iphone doesn't do it justice. I had 2 x 20 minute time trials this day and not another soul on the trail. In other words, a great day!

From my Friday ride, another beautiful day at the Cottonwood Trails.

On Saturday I rode the loop & 160 with Cori & Tiffany. Tiff & I went straight to the Diamond Kid Triathlon in Blue Diamond. John brought Kirkham to me so we could help pass up water to the kids. I forgot to take pictures in all the chaos, so just imagine 200 kids ages 4-12 doing a triathlon with fierce intensity. Amazing. I wish they had events like that when I was a kid. Kirkham can enroll in the fun run next year, we will get him on a training schedule starting January 2011, he must win the 2 year old division!
